A man was seriously injured when he fell a height of one and a half metres following a pwer cut, the police said.

The 59-year-old man from Gharghur suffered serious injuries in the fall in Mediterranean Street, Valletta, at around 11am.

The fall was caused by a sudden power cut, the police said.

Magistrate Victor Axiaq is leading an inquiry.
