The external festivities related to St Joseph feast, which was to be celebrated in Rabat on 19 March, have been cancelled, the organisers said.

In a statement, the St Joseph Arch-confraternity, the L’Isle Adam musical society and the 19 March Fireworks Club said they were taking the advice of the government and church authorities.

A revised feast programme of internal events will be published.
