Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Capital Projects Ian Borg visited the area of the Collegiate Parish Church of St Paul in Rabat, where an investment of €100,000 will be made in the infrastructure of this part of the locality. The Local Council, Infrastructure Malta leadership and the parish priest were also present for this activity.

“Our infrastructural commitment applies to infrastructure on every level. Here, we are investing in better quality infrastructure, which is safe and complements the historical environment of the area better. Once again, we are investing in the quality of life of the community, while improving infrastructural facilities for residents passing from Triq il-Kbira to the church. At the same time, this project continues to invest in our touristic product, as this part of Rabat is very popular with those who visit our country,” said Minister Ian Borg.

The project includes reinforcement of the ground with a concrete bed, the improvement of a number of rainwater canals along the side of the road and paving of this pedestrian zone with limestone tiles which are similar to that in other zones of the parvis. Works will be implemented by Infrastructure Malta and are expected to begin in the coming days.
