A man was seriously injured on Thursday afternoon after he lost control of the car he was driving, and it overturned, the police said.

The accident took place in San Niklaw Street, Siggiewi, at 5.30pm.

The man, aged 50 of Zurrieq, was driving a Nissan Qashqai.

He was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
