A woman is in hospital with serious injuries after she was hit by a car in Gzira, the police said.

The accident took place at the Ferries at 12.45 on Monday.

The 63-year-old woman, of French nationality and resident in Ta’ Xbiex, was hit by a bus driven by a 37-year-old man from the Philippines.

The woman was given first aid assistance before being taken to Mater Dei Hospital with serious injuries.
