A biker was seriously injured after he lost control of the bike he was riding and crashed into a wall, the police said.

The accident took place on the Coast Road, in the direction towards St Julian’s, at 2.45am.

The 29-year-old, resident of Cospicua, crashed into a wall that separates the two sections of the road, and was dragged several metres.

He was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Magistrate Ian Farrugia is leading an inquiry.
