The Health Ministry said that a 91-year-old woman has died with Covid-19 on Sunday.
In a statement on Monday, the ministry said that the woman tested positive to Covid-19 on 10 September, and was admitted to hospital on 22 September.
She died yesterday, the ministry said, adding that she had other medical conditions.
The ministry expressed its condolences to the family and urged the public to follow directives issued by the health authorities.
The woman becomes the 32nd victim of the virus in Malta.
It was the ninth day in a row in which Malta registered deaths related to Covid-19.
