Tuesday, 2 March 2021, 08:41 Last update: about 4 years ago

Trustees of The Alfred Mizzi Foundation, Julian Sammut and Albert Petrocochino were recently welcomed at Foodbank Lifeline's new stores in Marsa, by Chairman, Mark Portelli and  trustees Jane Mizzi and Lisa Villette as well as  manager Barbara Caruana, to see the daily operations involved in catering for over 370 families each week.  This involves, sorting and packing of bags and boxes, by a team of dedicated volunteers, which are then distributed from 6 collection points around Malta each week.

The Alfred Mizzi Foundation have been supporting Foodbank Lifeline for over 4 years with monthly food donations and more recently with  the purchase of a van to facilitate the collection and delivery of food to people in society who find themselves in a short term crisis situation, unable to provide enough food for themselves or their families.

The Alfred Mizzi Foundation have watched the needs of Foodbank Lifeline grow exponentially in the past year and have increased the monthly donations of food during the current covid-19 pandemic.
