Two foreigners in hospital after hit by car in separate accidents

Two men of foreign nationality are in hospital with grievous injuries after being hit by a car in separate accidents on Tuesday afternoon.

In the first accident, a 22-year-old Sudanese man who resides in Birzebbuga was hit by a car in Main Street, Mellieha, at 3.30pm.

The man was hit by a Nissan NV200 driven by a 29-year-old man of Fgura.

At 5.30pm, in Great Siege Road, Valletta, an Irishman aged 45 was hit by a Renault Zeo driven by a 38-year-old English woman who resides in Gzira.

Both pedestrians were taken to hospital with grievous injuries.
