A man and a woman were seriously injured in a traffic accident in Msida on Wednesday afternoon, the police said.

The accident took place in Valley Road at 1pm.

It involved a Ford Ka, driven by a 58-year-old man of Birkirkara, and a Renault Megane, driven by a 30-year-old man, also of Birkirkara.

The 58-year-old man had a 56-year-old woman of St Julian’s with him in the car. The two were given first assistance by a medical team before being taken to hospital with grievous injuries.
