A 73-year-old man was rushed to hospital on Thursday morning after he fell off a ladder inside a residence, police said.

Police said in a statement that they were informed that assistance was required at a residence in Triq il-Fuxa in San Gwann at around 9:30am.

District police went on site, and preliminary investigations found that the man had fallen around a storey from off a ladder and suffered some injuries as a result.

The man was rushed to Mater Dei Hospital, where he was certified as suffering from serious injuries.

Police investigations are ongoing.
