New CEO for Malta Business Bureau
Lino Mintoff has been appointed with immediate effect as CEO of the Malta Business Bureau (MBB) to replace Leonard Mizzi who has moved from the bureau’s Brussels office to the EU Commission’s directorate for agriculture and rural development.

Mr Mintoff, who holds a Masters in Business Administration from Henley and a BA (Hons) in Sociology from the University of Malta, occupied various senior management positions in the services and light industry private sector and was head of the minister’s secretariat at the Rural Affairs and the Environment Ministry before joining the Malta Business Bureau. He was also a board member of the Malta Broadcasting Authority and the Manoel Theatre Management Committee.

It is planned that the Malta Business Bureau will consolidate its links with European institutions and associations while acting as a facilitator to ensure that members of the Malta Federation of Industry (FOI), the Malta Chamber of Commerce (COCE) and the Malta Hotels and Restaurants Association (MHRA) maximise on the benefits from EU membership in line with its original objectives. In this respect, the new MBB CEO will now be leading the operation from Malta.
