Tomorrow, the Work in Progress Seminars host Joseph Buttigieg, Professor of English at Notre Dame University, Indiana, USA.
His paper will deal with “Reading Gramsci: Philology and Critical Method”. Prof. Buttigieg is now completing the English version of the critical edition of Antonio Gramsci’s Prison Notebooks in five volumes for Columbia University Press.
He is the author, among other books, of C. Borg, J. Buttigieg, and P. Mayo (eds), Gramsci and Education (2002).
The seminar starts at 6pm, followed by discussion, at the Mediterranean Institute Room 124 opposite University Library by the Arvid Pardo Study Area (behind HSBC on campus). Entrance from Car Park 4. The public is cordially invited.
Following his Monday seminar, Prof. Buttigieg will be available to schedule interviews on Gramsci, his relevance, and the translation of his writings, until Friday.
