Kellogg’s is launching a major initiative in Malta to promote the benefits of eating breakfast daily and to get Maltese families back into the breakfast habit.
The company’s breakfast benefit message ‘Wake Up to Breakfast’ is currently being carried on some of Kellogg’s range of cereal packs including Corn Flakes.
Timed to coincide with the busy back to school period, Kellogg’s is encouraging the whole family to make time for breakfast and start the day in the best possible way.
Breakfast simply means ‘break the night time fast’ and fasting for up to 12-16 hours, the reserves of energy become low.
A cereal breakfast each morning provides numerous benefits for the rest of the day.
Eating a balanced breakfast helps one to refuel the brain and the body with the energy and nutrients that one needs to perform better at work.
People who eat breakfast tend to maintain a healthier weight than those who skip this meal and as a result this can help to reduce the risk of obesity.
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and a cereal breakfast gives a head start on daily vitamin and mineral needs.
People that skip a balanced breakfast run the risk of falling into a pattern of poor food choices and poor nutritional intake during the rest of the day.
Breakfast skippers have been shown to eat less fruit and vegetables and more high fats, salt and sugar foods as a result.
“Kellogg’s Wake Up to Breakfast message is targeting those people that regularly skip breakfast to encourage them back to the breakfast table.
Kellogg’s offers a wide range of breakfast cereals to help children and adults alike choose what is right for them,” said the Kellogg’s spokesperson in Malta.
Breakfast is easily the quickest meal to prepare and eat. Kellogg’s kids and family cereal brands are fortified with a range of essential vitamins and iron that give the perfect kick-start for the day for all the family.
