Malta becoming more and more favourite destination for super yachts
A historic sailing venue, and a well-known stop over in the heart of the Mediterranean, Malta is becoming an increasingly favourite destination for super yachts.

The mild winter the Maltese Islands enjoy is just one of the key contributors towards the success of the Camper & Nicholsons’ Grand Harbour Marina as the ideal choice for berthing super yachts during the winter months.

Grand Harbour Marina is favourably situated, as it is sheltered in deep waters and Malta Superyacht Services is located advantageously in the creek next to the marina in Grand Harbour itself. Malta Super Yacht Services provides enclosed dry-docking and provides every aspect of refit and repair work for steel, GRP and wood, with engineering, electrical and hydraulic specialists on hand. Ben Stuart, general manager of the Grand Harbour Marina said, “In today’s climate, Grand Harbour Marina and Malta provides owners, management, captains and crew a very attractive and cost effective location to berth Super Yachts both during the winter and in the summer months”

The Camper and Nicholsons’ stamp of quality is apparent from the moment one enters the harbour. This is attained through the high standard of services one can acquire when berthing in this all-weather conditions marina.

Grand Harbour Marina already enjoys a good reputation as an attractive centre for super yachts. Over the past few years the marina has welcomed over 400 visiting yachts and has recently added to its operating berthing space.

Asked to comment about the imminent announcement of the privatisation of part of the marinas owned by the government, Mr Stuart is enthusiastic, believing that privatisation is a key and essential component if the industry is to retain its freshness. “Camper & Nicholsons was here in the early days of yachting in Malta and firmly believes in the potential of Malta within the yachting industry.”
