After that All In Act Entertainment opened its theatrical season with, Amorini u Kanarini, it is time to present its end of season production at the Catholic Institute Auditorium in Floriana. All In Act Entertainment with pleasure presents the brilliant comedy Spiru Cefai u r-Ruh tal-Baruni.
For us Maltese, Spiru Cefai is a nostalgic character. It is a very popular character which originated from the writings of Fr Wistin Born, a great writer whose most popular book is Is-Salib tal-Fidda. This new comedy written by Frederick Camilleri, continues the adventures of the joyful character who always succeeds to put himself in some oddity.
The Captain (Ian Fenech), ordered Private Spiru Cefai (Frederick Camilleri) and his friend Private Nazju Carbonaro (Renzo Bonello), to clean up the villa that was requisitioned by the British military and that was to be given to the American General (Fabian Scerri De Carlo). The Captain had to come to Malta to give special training to the Maltese soldiers. This villa was formerly owned by the Baron Pisani, who was ancestor of Mr Adeodato Pisani, the rich man who was jailed due to the selling of food by the Black Market during the war. After he was released, together with his servant Terezina (Romina Darmanin), he drew up a plan to take over the villa of his ancestors, but things got more complicated when the American General came with his daughter (Stefania Attard Vella) to this villa. Moreover, as if this was not enough, at the same time, there was a conspiracy against the General.
Spiru Cefai’s mother is employed as a servant with the American General and he falls in love with her. However, someone circulates the rumour that a treasure is hidden in the house. The Captain wants to find it and tells Cefai and Carbonaro to look for it. But what treasure is this? Who wanted to kill the American General? And how does Spiru Cefai solve all the mess? Is it true that there was the ghost of the baron? How would everything be settled down?
