Duracell makes it to the top with Maltese climbers
Greg Attard, Marco Cremona and Robert Gatt are the first-ever Maltese climbers to successfully reach the summit of Mount Cho Oyu – one of the highest mountains in the world. The team made it to the top of the 8201 metre high mountain on 24 September. They took just 8.5 hours to climb the 1050m from Camp 2 where they had been resting.

There is nothing like such a gruelling and extreme challenge to test personal resolve, self-confidence, resilience and reliability. Helping the three climbers in their successful summit was Duracell which equipped the team with premium quality rechargeable batteries to power the climb and propel the expedition devices in the harsh geographical and climatic conditions of Cho Oyu in the Himalayas.

“Duracell is proud to have backed the Challenge 8000 team who have successfully made it to the top,” said John Montanaro, Brand Manager for Duracell, represented locally by V.J. Salomone Marketing Ltd. “We are happy to be part of this success and are looking forward to supporting the team when they embark on their Everest challenge in March next year.”
