Parliamentary Secretary Jason Azzopardi yesterday donated 40 trees for planting, to make up for the printed paper he used last year. A close calculation is made scientifically by the Tree for You campaign of the paper used over a particular period, with the trees aimed to offset the carbon footprint.

The trees donated are endemic to Malta – olive, carob, gharghar, gummar, mastic and oak trees. They are to be planted at Tarxien, Paola, Ghaxaq and Gudja.
