Melita Sports makes official debut in MFA Futsal League
Melita plc has officially launched its Futsal team, namely Melita Sports. The team has been accepted to participate in the MFA national Fourth Division League this season and has been drawn in Section C.

The team which is mainly composed of employees made its debut in the national league Fourth Division Section C league with a 7-3 win over Mgarr FC. Melita Sports Futsal then managed a second consecutive win after beating Handaq Athletics 6-2.

Team manager Sandro Micallef, who is also the Sports Content executive of Melita plc, commented: “It has been a very positive start for us and the first two wins of the season have filled all our players with optimism for the season ahead. Most of the players have never played Futsal before; so I guess even if we managed to win our first games it will still be a big challenge for them to get acquainted to the rules of the game.” The participation of Melita Sports Futsal team is being partly sponsored by Melita plc. Earlier this week all the players forming part of the 2009/10 Melita Sports Futsal squad were presented with the season’s kits and apparel which are sponsored by Team Sport of Iklin.
