Alex Borg maintained his top place in Group D with a comfortable and convincing 4-0 win over Libya's Khaled Belaid Mohamed.
Borg has won all his three matches and seems certain to qualify for the next round.
Senglea born Duncan Bezzina also chalked up a handsome 4-1 win, beating Yu Delu of China in the afternoon.
Duncan Bezzina has compiled the best breaks among the Maltese so far - a 73 and a 72. Borg is next with a 65.
In the Masters sector, in Group B, Simon Zammit won his second of three matches as he beat Mostafa Aly of Egypt 3-1, also in convincing manner.
Zammit has therefore maintained his chance of advancing to the next round.
Today, the Maltese players will again be in action.
In the Men's competition, in Groupo D, Alex Borg will be facing Faaris Khan of South Africa, while Duncan Bezzina will be facing Dhruv Stiwala of India in Group M.
Alfie Burden of England, one of the favourites to win the championship, registered the highest break so far - a 118 - but missed a maximum 147 in another break of 112.
