The court presided over by Judge Joseph Micallef, yesterday turned down an application for a prohibitory injunction filed by Grace Borg against the Malta Song Board and the Ministry for Education and Culture.
In handing down judgement, the court decided that the prerequisites for a prohibitory injunction were not honoured.
Ms Borg was complaining that the Malta Song regulations discriminated against authors and composers of foreign nationalities.
Due to court proceedings, the first phase of the elimination process, which was to take place last week, was put off.
