A man and two teenagers were detained during Armed Forces of Malta checkpoints in Cospicua and Qormi between Friday and Saturday night. A 30-year old man from San Gwann was found in possession of four sachets of cocaine, a CS-pepper spray can, an extendable baton and a knife.

The two teenagers from Qormi, aged 17 and 16, were driving a vehicle without a valid driving licence and vehicle insurance. Vehicle checkpoints were conducted by ‘C’ (Special Duties) Company of 1 Regiment soldiers.

Further police investigations are underway.
