Two PBS radio stations commence broadcasting in digital
Digi B Network, operators of Malta's state of the art digital radio platform, has announced that two popular PBS radio station, Radio Malta 1 and Magic Radio have started broadcasting in the DAB+ digital format.

Sergio D'Amico, Digi B's Managing Director said, “Digi B is proud to play a key role in the continuous development of the radio broadcasts of these channels, one of which has formed part of Malta's radio landscape since its inception.”

PBS CEO Albert Debono said: “PBS is fully committed to aggressively push its content on all available platforms, and DAB+ is the new digital radio platform which will change the way radio is consumed.”

The digital radio platform, broadcasting free to air in DAB+, continues to grow strongly and now transmits 28 channels, including world famous radio stations such as Voice of America and BBC World Service. Digi B has invested heavily in the latest equipment to continue to improve its coverage across the Maltese Islands. Digital radio sets from various manufacturers ranging from top end hi-fi manufacturers like Denon to more affordable standardised OEM are now becoming more widely available and digital radio across Europe continues to go from strength to strength.

Malta is proud to be at the forefront of this advanced technology with local radio listeners having easy access to the latest digital radio technologies. DAB+ offers numerous benefits. These include improved end-user features, a vast range of radio stations and music genres and high quality reception.
