‘Peter Panto’ lands at the MFCC!
For its centenary year, the MADC is presenting a fresh take on J.M. Barrie’s classic tale of Peter Pan with a fabulous script called Peter Panto written by Nanette Brimmer.

Rehearsals are in full swing at the MADC Clubrooms in Sta Venera, led by director Alan Montanaro (who is also playing the deliciously evil Captain Hook), choreographer Alison White and musical director Mro Paul Abela. In the meantime, the set construction crew, ably headed by Lino Mallia, is putting the sets together to the designs of Oscar nominee Peter Howitt.

The amazing cast also includes Jean-Pierre Busuttil as Dame Fanny, Katherine Brown as Peter Pan, Alexandra Camilleri Warne as Wendy, Luke Farrugia as John, David Chircop as Michael, Nathan Brimmer as Smee Rachael Tedesco Triccas as Tinkerbell, as well as Diane Clark, Noel Zarb, Andrew Barberi, Jane Pillow and Renato Dimech and the usual mega-talented all-dancing, all-singing chorus.

Of course there is no Peter Pan without spectacular flying. And this production is certainly going to have the ‘wow’ factor in this respect! The MADC has secured the services of Nick Kirby, whose great-grandfather took care of the flying for J.M. Barrie in the original production of Peter Pan in 1904, so lots of incredible flying scenes are guaranteed.

Peter Panto will take place at the MFCC in Ta’ Qali between 18 December 2009 and 3 January 2010 (there will be no performances on 24, 25 and 31 December and 1 January). All performances start at 8.00 pm and there are matinees at 3.00pm on 26 December and 3 January.

Booking for the MADC’s spectacular pantomime Peter Panto is open online at MADC’s new website www.madc.biz, created by Immedia Creative Studios. Tickets may also be booked via ticket hotline 7979 MADC (6232).

Ticket prices start from e10. Children’s tickets are discounted and are valid for children aged 10 and under.

Sponsors for Peter Panto include Airmalta, St James Hospital, Playmobil, the Embassy, Farsons Direct, Agenda, Chemimart, Island Caterers, Bank of Valletta, Rimmel and Heli-Tours Malta.
