The Malta Heart Foundation, working to promote the importance of a healthy lifestyle for the prevention of heart disease, recently organised a fund raising gala dinner at the Westin Dragonara, in support of its objectives.
Speaking about the foundation’s achievements, chairperson Jo Cachia said: “We wish to continue to pursue our goals to assist patients who suffer from heart disease; however such achievements would be impossible without the financial support of those who generously contribute during such fund raising events.”
The foundation has recently donated exercise equipment to Mater Dei Hospital, after installing an automatic external defibrillator at the Manoel Theatre earlier this year, and the recent donation of a treadmill to a prospective heart transplant patient last October.
