latest comment from Maria l-Maws, 09/03/2021 06:22: Definitely, nothing can ever lure me to be a politician! How can I ever be a politician If in principles I believed all my life? Can I believe in something today, To please you the next day, in believing the contrary I’d strive? Can I ever, if somebody does anything wrong I would enter in any compromise To condemn that somebody But then don’t do that to a friend who does likewise? And if a member of my party Would be found to be corrupt, after having undergone some test, I would keep on going supporting him? Could I ever be more dishonest? And what about, if another member of my party From our party’s ranks decides to go to the other side? How can I ever accept that, from a hero when on our side Would then proclaim him a traitor and lacking of any pride? If there is anything, I would certainly never accept Is that, for example, if I always believed that Humpty Dumpty on a wall sat I would be constrained to accept and defend the fact If my party ever decides that Humpty Dumpty did anything but that! I finally arrived to conclude, and I do that as follows. If I ever accept to become a politician Everything seems to point, at my having to accept also To be a deceiver and a hypocrite, certainly a bad decision! Therefore, I am definitely never going to accept that. I prefer to remain normal without any kind of imposition!!! 24th January, 2021 ************************************************************************************************* "For what is a man, what has he got? If not himself, then he has naught To say the things he truly feels And not the words of one who kneels The record shows, I took the blows And did it my way" Yes, it was my way My Way - Frank Sinatra Composed by Jacques Revaux & Gilles Thibault English Lyrics by Paul Anka *****
