The British Legion will be organising English language courses during the summer for students that have passed on to Form 1 as well as for those who were not successful.

These courses that the British Legion have been organising for the past 21 years are supported by the British Council.

Courses are also being organised for students of other ages, for primary students of years one to six as well as for secondary school students from Form 1 up to Matsec ‘O’ Level (Form 5).

During the courses, held in Valletta, Malta and in Victoria, Gozo on weekdays in the morning, students will work on comprehensions, grammar, idioms, vocabulary and other aspects of language. As in previous years, British Airways will support students in creative writing activities such as compositions.

At the end of the courses all students are given certificates and books for their effort and a prize day is also organised where the Education Minister, the British High Commissioner and a representative from the British Council will present books and certificates to the best pupils, based on continuous assessment.

To register for these courses one is to phone on the following numbers: 2164-1486, 2133-8780 and 2156-3420.
