GWU has 200 new members

Counteracting the story about port workers who shifted from GWU members to UHM, the General Workers Union said yesterday that over the past two months 200 new members had joined the union.

GWUYouths is 62 years old

The General Workers’ Union’s youth section is 62 years old, said a union statement yesterday. It claimed that many young workers are finding that their rights have been undermined over the past years.

GWU threatens industrial action at Enemalta

The General Workers’ Union has threatened industrial action at Enemalta in the coming days since, it claimed, its representations on the manning, safety and management of people at the generation section at the Marsa Power Station, have gone unheeded by management.
