Following the successful organisation of the ISF World Schools’ Table Tennis Championships in Malta in 2008, two years Stella Maris College has to honour of representing our country in this year’s event in Brno, Czech Republic.

Team SMC will be formed of current Malta no. 1 Daniel Bajada, Mikael Debono, Karl Grech and Christopher Portelli. Gabriel Chircop will act as umpire while Kevin Azzopardi will be the Head of Delegation.

The Maltese side is set to make its debut on Friday morning against Poland followed by an encounter versus Ireland in the afternoon. Later on in the evening Malta faces Slovakia while on Saturday morning the Maltese entertain England.

The team competition will witness 20 teams split in five groups with classification matches played out by Sunday evening.

The individual competition is scheduled to be held on Tuesday.
