The Malta Co-operative Federation has launched its official interactive website www.maltacooperativefederation.coop. CEO Rolan Micallef Attard explained that it was essential for the development of the co-operative movement in Malta to make available current information on the co-operative business option. The website contains information about the advantages of setting up worker, service, consumer, social and producer co-operatives. It also offers expert advice on a myriad of co-operative matters and shall act as a business networking catalyst. The Federation’s membership requirements are also available on-line.
The website launch is one of a number of initiatives the Federation is working upon. The website shall be continuously updated with related news and resources.
The Malta Co-operative Federation was set up in November 2012, the Malta Co-operative Federation is an organisation which seeks to aid, advance, expand and unite co-operative societies. The federation consists of a network of new-wave and successful co-operative businesses seeking to promote, strengthen and improve the co-operative model in Malta. Among the members of the Malta Co-operative Federation is a group of professionals in a variety of fields, many long experienced in the co-operative movement in Malta, and true co-operators who are willing to share their expertise in order to help others to look into different ways of working towards success.
