Transport Malta warned this evening that the Coast Road works will be entering a very delicate phase - that next to the salt pans.

The Transport Malta contractor has been instructed to prepare traffic management plans so that work to widen the carriageway can start according to the development permit.

Transport Malta wants to reassure residents that temporary arrangements for an alternative access will be put in place.

Drivers are warned to drive carefully and observe the traffic signs.
