Shortly after the PN leader Simon Busuttil held a press conference in Ordnance Street Valletta to protest against the relocation of the daily Monti to that street, the Labour Party issued a statement including a copy of an email sent by then minister Jason Azzopardi to a representative of the Monti people in which the PN administration offered to allow the Monti to relocate to Ordnance Street from Merchants Street by 1 December 2013.

The email was sent in the afternoon of election day, 9 March 2013 and referred to a preceding telephone conversation.

PL said that Dr Busuttil was a Deputy Leader in the PN administration at that time.
