The Prime Minister’s second car uses up an average of €114 per week, €44 more than his official one.
Dr Muscat gave the information in reply to a parliamentary question by PN Whip David Agius.
The Prime Minister said his official car uses up an average of 49 litres per week while the second car, which started being used in March 2014, uses up an average of 87 litres per week.
Dr Muscat said that his predecessor’s car used up an average of €96 – or 76 litres of fuel – per week. Lawrence Gonzi’s second car used around €27 – or 22 litres of fuel – per week.
He also added that the Opposition Leader’s car used up around €75 – or 56 litres – per week between June 2013 and November 2015.
