Ryanair celebrates 10 years by announcing offers and six new routes

Ryanair celebrated its 10 year anniversary in Malta by offering seats at €19.99 for travel between April and June 2017 to 14 major European cities. The offer closes at midnight on Friday, 18 November.

 At the celebration, which was attended by Minister for Tourism Edward Zammit Lewis, also saw the airline announce that it would introduce six new summer routes  - to Brussels Zaventem, Catania, Nuremberg, Toulouse, Valencia and Vilnius.

Ryanair's chief commercial officer David O'Brien  also said that the airline was looking to bring 2.1 million people to Malta by 2017. He also mentioned that the company would also be purchasing a new Boeing 737-800, valued at €104 million which will be registered in Malta. 

O'Brien then said the airline would also be increasing the number of routes accessible from Malta up to 42 and that the number of weekly flights would also increase, up to more than 140.
