Judge Oliver Gulia passes away, aged 92

Judge Oliver Gulia passed away on Saturday, aged 92.

He was appointed judge in 1974 and served on the constitutional court between 1978 and 1983.

Dr Gulia served as senior crown counsel between 1966 and 1971, before becoming deputy attorney general.

He was born in Żebbuġ on 5 April, 1924, and graduated as a lawyer in 1949.

Dr Gulia served on various judicial boards and civilian committees.

He married Antida in 1955 and they had three sons, Kenneth, Alan and Gavin (in photo with his father), the former Labour minister and current Malta Tourism Authority chairman.
