A woman was seriously injured after falling in the street in Marsascala, the police said.

The 68-year-old British woman, resident in Marsacala, was found on the ground in Triq ix-Xatt just after midnight.

A medical team gave her first assistance before she was transported to Mater Dei Hospital for further treatment.
