The next seven days, including today Sunday, are expected to take us to the heart of the winter season, as they will be characterised by rain, wind and rough seas.
Saturday night was stormy with a thunderstorm and rain hitting the Maltese Islands – and it will not get much better during the rest of the week.
The Malta International Airport website is anticipating thundery showers today Sunday and tomorrow Monday, while the wind will be picking up more strength on Tuesday, leading also to rough seas.
Thundery showers are also expected in the second part of the week.
Other weather websites are anticipating hail too.
Temperatures will range from a high of 16 on Sunday and Monday to a high of just 12 degrees on Friday, while temperatures will go as low as 8 degrees during the night on some days this week.
