The Social Solidarity Ministry has signed an agreement with Caritas worth close to €4 million.
In a statement, the ministry said that €2,713,410 will be for residential services and €1,260,000 for services within the community and therapy.
Social solidarity Minister Falzon said that this agreement, which will span three years, will help strengthen the level of services offered by Caritas to victims of drug abuse, to help them fight their addiction.
He said that government is committed to continue helping and providing residential programmes to those who fall victim to drug abuse, while they follow holistic programmes which include psychological, therapeutic and social help.
This aspect will form an integral part of the agreement which will help cover the residents of san blas as well as the outpatients services in Floriana.
