A 30-year-old man from Hamrun was grievously injured in a fire on Thursday afternoon.
The accident took place at around 3pm in a garage in the limits of Hal Farrug.
The police said the man was working on a boat that caught fire.
The blaze was put out by members of the Civil Protection Department and the injured man was taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance. Two other men who were at the site were uninjured.
Duty Magistrate Josette Demicoli is leading an inquiry. The police are investigating.
