Romanian hit by car in Gzira

A Romanian national was taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Gzira, the police said.

Today at around 1730hrs the Police were informed that their assistance was needed in Gzira Road in Gzira.

The 63-year-old Romanian was hit by a car driven by a 40-year-old person who resides in Birkirkara and was driving a Vauxhall Astra

An ambulance was called on site to take the victim to Mater Dei hospital for further treatment. Later the victim was certified as suffering from grievous injuries.

Police investigation is still on going.

The police did not give the gender of both driver and pedestrian.
