Miriam Dalli appointed PL’s Head of Delegation at the European Parliament

Miriam Dalli has been appointed the Head of Delegation of the Labour Party in the European Parliament for the next five years, the Labour Party said.

In a statement, the Labour Party said that this was agreed on unanimously in a meeting between their four elected MEPs.

“After once again being elected in an election where she received 63,438 first preference votes, this will be Miriam Dalli’s second legislature serving in the European Parliament.”

Dalli thanked her colleagues for their trust and said that she is looking forward for the team of four Labour Party MEPs to work in the interest of the country and its citizens.

“Our country moved forward, but we must use the trust the populace gave us to achieve more.”

The statement continued by saying that in the last legislature, Dalli was entrusted with important laws and reports in the European Parliament, and that authoritive newspapers which discuss international politics put her amongst the MEPs and politicians that made a difference in Europe.

“During the same meeting, the priorities that would be focused on by the Labour Party MEPs in the coming months were discussed.
