Man remanded in custody on charges of theft, breaching bail conditions

A man with a string of pending criminal cases against him has been remanded in custody after being charged with theft and breaching bail.

Curtis Bakoush, 29 , from Valletta was arraigned before magistrate Natasha Galea Sciberras, accused of stealing €50 from a car parked in St Sebastian Street, Valletta on June 10. He was also charged with breaching a number of bail conditions and suspended sentences.

Bakoush pleaded not guilty to the charges. Bail was not granted.

Inspector Priscilla Caruana Lee prosecuted. Lawyer Arthur Azzopardi defended the accused.
