It will be a busy start to the week for the Nationalist Party, as its executive committee will be meeting tonight while the parliamentary group will be convening tomorrow.

The main topic for discussion is the way forward for the PN, with Adrian Delia’s position – and also that of his whole team or part of it – very much under the spotlight.

Delia will be seeking the support of the executive branch before he faces the parliamentary group.

The executive committee is still without a president after the resignation of Mark Anthony Sammut two weeks ago.

It is probable that the bigger hurdle for Delia will be the parliamentary group, where there is a wider dissent towards his leadership, which started months ago but which was exacerbated by the recent massive defeats in the European Parliament and local council elections.
