Four people were arrested by the vice squad in Sliema, a police statement read.

Two Maltese men and two Maltese women, aged between 29 and 53 were arrested in a residence located on Triq Amery, Sliema.

Inside the residence, a number of sachets containing heroin and cocaine which were ready for trafficking were found. An amount of cash was also found.

Magistrate Claire Stafrace Zammit was informed and appointed a number of experts to assist in the inquiry.

Police investigations are ongoing.
