A 27-year-old man from Tarxien suffered burns while working inside a residence in Fgura, the police said.

The accident took place in Triq San Tumas, at around 11.15am.

He was taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance. The man suffered serious injuries.

A magisterial inquiry has been launched. The police are also investigating the case.
