NGO Repubblika said Monday it had a “frank and open discussion” with President George Vella.
The NGO met the President at the latter’s request.
Last week, a tit for tat ensued between Repubblika and the President after the NGO said its submissions on the Constitutional Reform were not acknowledged by the President.
Dr Vella later accused the NGO of “distorting facts to mislead” people over the issue.
In a statement, Repubblika said there was “a frank and open discussion with the President regarding constitutional reform. The President assured the delegation that he would ensure a transparent, inclusive and participative process that would take the time that is necessary.”
The President also assured the delegation that he would not allow political parties to dominate this process, the statement said.
