A traffic accident in Rabat road, Nadur, has left one woman suffering from serious injuries.

The accident took place at 3pm, when a 23-year-old woman from Mtarfa lost control of a quadbike and flipped over. Another 23-year-old woman from San Gwann was riding pillion.

Both were taken to the Gozo General Hospital. The woman from San Gwann suffered serious injuries.

The police said on Monday that the other woman was slightly hurt.

Investigations are ongoing.
