A biker was seriously injured in a traffic accident in Birkirkara this afternoon, the police said.

The accident took place at 4.45pm in Valley Road.

A 33-year-old biker who resides in Pieta’ lost control of his Honda motorbike and crashed.

An ambulance was called on site to take the man to Mater Dei hospital for further treatment.

Later he was certified as suffering from grievous injuries.
