A Maltese woman collapsed and died while having dinner in a restaurant in Italy on Tuesday evening, Italian media report.

Anna Pace, 58, of Swieqi, was on holiday with her husband Joseph and a number of other Maltese residents in Ortezzano, in the Marche region.

Italian media report that the Maltese group was having fun at the restaurant when the woman collapsed. An ambulance was called and she was certified dead on site.
