A Romanian man was arrested with 6.5 kilogrammes of cannabis which were hidden in a car which had just been brought over from Pozzallo, the police said.

The 31-year-old was arrested after the drugs were found hidden in a compartment on Wednesday morning.

Magistrate Donatella Frendo Dimech is leading an inquiry.
